Acceptance of Terms

By using YouTube Thumbnail Downloader ("the Tool"), you agree to these Terms. If you disagree, do not use the Tool.

Description of Service

The Tool is a free, web-based utility that retrieves publicly available thumbnail images from YouTube videos. You provide a YouTube video URL; the Tool returns direct links to the video's thumbnail variants (Default, Medium, High, Standard, Max Resolution) as hosted on YouTube's CDN (img.youtube.com).

The Tool does not host, store, modify, or claim ownership of any thumbnails.

Permitted Use

You may use the Tool for:

  • Personal, non-commercial reference
  • Educational purposes
  • Content curation with attribution
  • Design inspiration and analysis

Prohibited Use

You may not:

  • Use the Tool for automated, high-volume scraping (rate limits apply)
  • Redistribute thumbnails as your own content or in thumbnail packs
  • Use thumbnails to imply endorsement by YouTube, Google, or the video creator
  • Violate YouTube's Terms of Service or API Terms of Service
  • Infringe copyright — thumbnails are owned by creators or YouTube
  • Attempt to access private, unlisted, age-restricted, or geo-blocked content
  • Reverse engineer, decompile, or interfere with the Tool's operation
  • Thumbnails: Owned by the video creator (custom uploads) or YouTube/Google (auto-generated). The Tool makes no ownership claim.
  • Tool code & design: Owned by the Tool's operators. All rights reserved.
  • YouTube brand: "YouTube" and the YouTube logo are trademarks of Google LLC. This Tool is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or connected to YouTube or Google.

Disclaimer of Warranties

THE TOOL IS PROVIDED "AS IS" WITHOUT WARRANTY OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED.

We do not warrant that:

  • The Tool will be uninterrupted, timely, secure, or error-free
  • All thumbnail qualities will be available for every video
  • Results are accurate, complete, or current
  • The Tool will remain free or available indefinitely

Limitation of Liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, THE TOOL'S OPERATORS SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR ANY LOSS OF DATA, PROFITS, OR BUSINESS OPPORTUNITIES, ARISING FROM OR RELATED TO YOUR USE OF THE TOOL.

Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless the Tool's operators from any claims, damages, or expenses (including legal fees) arising from your violation of these Terms or misuse of the Tool.

Modifications to the Tool

We may modify, suspend, or discontinue the Tool (or any feature) at any time without notice. We are not liable for any modification, suspension, or discontinuation.

Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the jurisdiction where the Tool is operated, without regard to conflict of law principles.
